Broad-winged damselfly sitting on the tip of a fern leaf. This also is called an ebony jewelwing because of the bright metallic blue-green body parts. This is a female as indicated by the light brown wings and the white spots (stigmata) near their distal ends. The males have solid, black wings. check
I like the compostion and bokeh here, it really captures the beautiful detail of the dragonfly. It is so well balenced-- brown wing with white wing spot opposite brown eye with white reflection; tread-like wing detail opposite thread-like hair on legs-- the color is spectacular as well. Excellent work!
